Ultraman Ginga est le héros de sa propre série, la série Ultraman de 2013. Elle dépeint les aventures de Hikaru Raido, choisi pour utiliser le Ginga Spark et être Ultraman Ginga après les évènements d’un conflit nommé Dark Spark War. C’est lors de cette guerre que le précédent utilisateur du Ginga Spark affronta une version maléfique de lui-même détenant le Darkness Spark et de ce conflit résultat la transformation en figurines d’une bonne partie des Ultraman et des Kaiju. Scellés dans ces figurines, appelées Spark Dolls, les pouvoirs des Ultraman et des Kaiju ne peuvent alors qu’être utilisé par le biais des Spark, ce que Hikaru apprendra à faire pendant la série.

Ultraman Ginga is the hero of his own series, the Ultraman series of 2013. It depicts the adventures of Hikaru Raido, chose to use the Ginga Spark and to be Ultraman Ginga after the events of a conflict called Dark Spark War. It was during this war that the previous user of the Ginga Spark battled an evil version of itself holding the Darkness Spark and of this conflict resulted the transformation in figures of much of Ultraman and Kaiju. Sealed in these figures, called Spark Dolls, the powers of Ultraman and Kaiju can only be used that by a Spark, that Hikaru will learn to do during the series.
